Membership Information
Membership benefits of the Society for Cognitive Studies of the Moving Image include:
- a subscription to Projections: The Journal for Movies and Mind (winner of the 2008 PROSE award for Best New Journal in the Humanities and Social Sciences). Issues will be mailed to you.
- the opportunity to present research at annual SCSMI conferences, which alternate between North American and European locations.
- a discount on registration for the annual SCSMI conference
- a regular email newsletter with notices and information about professional issues of interest to scholars and students of film and media.
Regular membership fees are $65 annually. Students can join for $35 annually.

You will be paying on the website for Turpin Distribution, who is the distributor for the Berghahn Journal Projections. When you purchase a Projections subscription using the "SCSMI member" or "SCSMI student member" buttons, you are actually paying for both your SCSMI membership fees and the included subscription to Projections.
