About Madison

Madison is a midsize city of 225,000 northwest of Chicago and west of Milwaukee. Very complete background and boasting can be found at Wikipedia here. You may also want to look at information about the city, the University, the Communication Arts department, or Memorial library.

Weather in June is usually warm but can be rainy; but thunderstorms and hot spells have been known to appear.

You may want to allow yourself time to explore our city or the Midwest. By car Chicago is 3-4 hours from Madison; Milwaukee about an hour and a half; Minneapolis is about 5 hours. Northern Wisconsin is full of lovely forests and lakes, as is the Upper Peninsula between Wisconsin and Michigan.
